Lahore: Members of the US Consulate, Mr. Sandeep Paul, Public Relations Officer, and Mr. Tanveer Abbas, Programme Manager Specialist, visited Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) to participate in an interdisciplinary workshop aimed at fostering collaboration between healthcare and business fields. The event, which was held in collaboration with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), brought together students and professionals from various disciplines to explore innovative learning opportunities.
According to Fatima Jinnah Medical University – Lahore, the workshop was attended by key university officials, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, Dean of Undergraduate/Chairperson Obstetrics and Gynecology Prof. Aisha Malik, and several faculty members such as Prof. Bilquis Shabbir and Prof. Naveed Akbar Hotiana. The event also featured the participation of LUMS representatives, including Mr. Nauman Zaffar, Director of LCE, and Miss Minahil Zia, Learning and Development Program Lead at LCE.
During the event, Dr. Taskeen Zahra presented the role of the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) at FJMU, highlighting innovative projects and initiatives led by both students and faculty aimed at promoting business and healthcare collaboration. The session also included interactive discussions and a problem-solving workshop focused on addressing current challenges in the medical field.
The event concluded with remarks from Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, who emphasized the importance of collaborations between FJMU and LUMS, and the potential benefits of continued partnerships between the two institutions. Additionally, the YES Club announced its executive positions, and incubatees showcased their products and discussed their approaches.
