Lahore: An interdisciplinary workshop at Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU), organized in collaboration with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), brought together students and professionals for a day of learning and networking. The event featured participation from members of the US Consulate, including Public Relations Officer Sandeep Paul and Programme Manager Specialist Tanveer Abbas, alongside other notable guests from the academic community.
According to Fatima Jinnah Medical University – Lahore, the workshop served as a platform for exploring interdisciplinary learning, with contributions from key figures such as FJMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal and several deans and professors from various departments. Dr. Taskeen Zahra highlighted the initiatives of the university’s Business Incubation Centre (BIC), emphasizing projects that blend business acumen with healthcare advancements.
The event, part of Project Tabeer led by LUMS, aimed to build capacity for university-based incubators across Punjab. It featured interactive sessions and problem-solving activities that addressed current challenges in the medical field. Participants were encouraged to engage with esteemed guests to bridge the gap between healthcare and management.
The workshop concluded with Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal emphasizing the importance of collaboration between FJMU and LUMS, and the announcement of executive positions for the YES Club. Incubatees also showcased their innovative products, sparking discussions on strategies for future developments.
