Peshawar, The University of Peshawar has invited applications for project-based positions in its Department of Geology, under the National Research Program for Universities – Higher Education Commission. The project, titled “Assessing Rare Metals availability in Pakistan for their use in Photovoltaic Solar Cells to Produce Inexhaustible Renewable Electricity from Sunlight,” seeks qualified candidates for various roles.
According to University of Peshawar, candidates with significant experience in Geology and GIS-related mapping will be preferred. Responsibilities include assisting with project work, laboratory tasks, conducting chemical analyses, preparing reports, writing manuscripts, and presenting data. The initial contract is for one year, extendable based on performance and funding availability. Applications, along with relevant documents, are to be submitted to the Geology office within 15 days of the advertisement. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview, and selections will be made from students currently enrolled in the MS/MPhil Geology program at the University of Peshawar. The interview is scheduled for December 4, 2023, at the Department of Geology, University of Peshawar.
