Haripur: The University of Haripur will be closed on the occasion of 1st Moharram Ul Haram 1446 A.H., following a directive from the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The closure is in observance of the religious significance of the day, with final confirmation pending based on the sighting of the moon, as stated by the Marakazi Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan.
According to The University of Haripur, this decision is backed by the approval of the Vice Chancellor and aligns with the government’s notification for the public observance of this important Islamic date. The university has informed all relevant academic and administrative departments to prepare accordingly.
