Lahore, 10 Oct 2023:The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the match officials for the forthcoming U19 series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, which will take place in Karachi from 15 to 31 October, according to a press release issued by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Iftikhar Ahmed and Iqbal Sheikh from the PCB Elite Panel of Match Referees will supervise the playing control team across the six-match series, comprising a solitary four-day match followed by five 50-over matches, all to be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz from the ICC/PCB International Panel of Umpires will officiate on-field during the four-day match scheduled from 15 to 18 October. They will be accompanied by Imtiaz Iqbal from the PCB Elite Panel of Umpires, serving as the reserve umpire, while Iqbal Sheikh will act as the match referee.
The subsequent series of five 50-over matches, running from 22 to 31 October at the same venue, will see Asif Yaqoob, Imran Jawed, and Imtiaz Iqbal forming the umpiring panel.
The detailed appointments for the matches are as follows:
15-18 October (Four-day match): Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz as on-field umpires, Imtiaz Iqbal as reserve umpire, and Iqbal Sheikh as match referee.
22 October (First One-Day match): Asif Yaqoob and Imran Jawed will be the on-field umpires, Imtiaz Iqbal as reserve umpire, and Iftikhar Ahmed serving as the match referee.
24 October (Second One-Day match): Asif Yaqoob and Imtiaz Iqbal will be on the field, Imran Jawed as reserve umpire, with Iftikhar Ahmed refereeing.
27 October (Third One-Day match): Imran Jawed and Imtiaz Iqbal will be on the field, Asif Yaqoob as reserve umpire, and Iftikhar Ahmed as referee.
29 October (Fourth One-Day match): Asif Yaqoob and Imtiaz Iqbal take to the field, Imran Jawed in reserve, and Iftikhar Ahmed refereeing.
31 October (Fifth One-Day match): Asif Yaqoob and Imran Jawed will officiate on the field, Imtiaz Iqbal as reserve umpire, and Iftikhar Ahmed as match referee.
The single four-day match will commence at 1000 PKT, with the toss taking place at 0930 PKT. For the One-Day matches, the first ball will be delivered at 0930 PKT.
