Islamabad: In an effort to promote environmental responsibility, the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has launched a plantation drive at the SINES building. Organized by the Horticulture Branch, Field Administration Directorate, and SINES, the initiative saw active participation from faculty, students, and the Principal, resulting in the planting of over 50 trees.

The event focused on sustainability and ecological stewardship, with species such as pine and fruit-bearing trees being planted around the plot adjacent to SINES. This initiative reflects NUST’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of environmental awareness within the university community.

The plantation drive is part of NUST’s broader efforts to integrate environmental practices into campus life, encouraging both students and staff to contribute to a greener future. The university aims to continue similar initiatives to strengthen its role in promoting sustainability.
