Zakat and Ushr Stipend 2022-2023 Invitation

Karachi, April 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):Government of Sindh, Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr Department has offered subject financial assistance from Zakat funds to the deserving students of this University who have financial constraints in acquiring education.

Interested students are required to follow the under mentioned instruction:

1- First to Final Year Students from BE / BS / Arch / ME are invited to fill prescribed scholarship application

form which should be completed in all respects while submission by the candidates.

2- Prescribed applications can be obtained from Students Portal / Concerned Class Advisor.

3- Application Form along-with relevant documents including utility bills of residence, family dependents etc. and ISTEHQAQ CERTIFICATE to be issued via Chairmen District Zakat and Ushr Committee Council are required to be submitted to this office by the candidates (Sample attached).

4- Every student will be awarded Rs.3000/- stipend per month (for 12 months).

5- Interested students may contact Students Affairs Office for proper guidance and details.

6- Incomplete form will not be entertained.

7- The submission date for scholarship application form along-with relevant documents latest by 12th May 2023.

Higher Education Commission Research Award

Karachi, April 05, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Higher Education Commission (HEC) invites Pakistani researchers / scholars to submit applications for HEC Research Awards competition. The objective of these Awards is to recognize excellence in research, contributions to Intellectual development and to promote high impact publications.

The awards will be given in the following three categories:

1. Best Researcher

2. Best Young Researcher

3. Best Publication (with special emphasis to submit research publications on constitution of Pakistan in view of Golden-Jubilee of 1973 Constitution of Pakistan)

Notice – Holiday in account of 44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto

Karachi, March 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): The NED University of Engineering and Technology and its Constituent College i.e. Thar Institute of Engineering, Sciences and Technology, Tharparkar will remain closed on (Tuesday) 4th April, 2023, on the occasion of “44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto”, Ex-Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (As announced by the Government of Sindh vide Notification No. CTC/ (SGA and CD)3(65)2009 dated: 30-03-2023).
