Lahore: The third edition of the FCPS Exam-oriented preparatory course workshop and Extended TOACS was held at the Gynae Unit 2, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, under the supervision of HOD Gynae Unit 2, Professor Dr. Shamila Ijaz Munir, with collaborative efforts from all gynae units. The course aims to equip candidates across Punjab for various clinical exams including FCPS, MS, MRCOG, and IMM.
According to Fatima Jinnah Medical University – Lahore, the workshop provided an immersive experience covering all facets of clinical exams. Activities included structured viva discussions, simulated patient interactions for history taking and examination, and training across five clinical skill stations—ranging from MPDSR and Neonatal Resuscitation to Urodynamics. The session drew a large number of participants from across the province.
The event was graced by FJMU’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, who, despite a packed schedule, offered valuable insights on excelling in clinical exams. Prof. Dr. Ayesha Malik, Dean of Surgery and Allied FJMU, also expressed her gratitude towards all facilitators for their commitment to the course, underlining the importance of such educational endeavors in advancing clinical skills.
The workshop, spanning two days, provided candidates with the opportunity to interact with various examiners through MOCK extended TOACS, enhancing their preparation and learning. Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, alongside other esteemed professionals, commended Prof. Dr. Shamila Ijaz Munir and the entire Gynae Department for their efforts in orchestrating this pivotal event for the medical community.
