Scholarship Program Launched for Gilgit-Baltistan Students to Pursue Undergraduate Studies


Islamabad: A new scholarship initiative has been launched for students from Gilgit-Baltistan who are seeking to undertake undergraduate studies in top Pakistani universities and institutions. The scholarships, part of the “Undergraduate Scholarship Program for Students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Top Pakistani Universities/Institutions (Batch-IV),” are aimed for the academic year 2024-25.



According to Dow University of Health Sciences, the scholarship will cover tuition, hostel fees, and other charges up to Rs. 240,000 per annum. Additionally, students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 and an annual allowance of Rs. 30,000 for books and travel expenses. The application deadline is set for September 30, 2024.



Applicants are directed to submit their applications online through the Higher Education Commission’s portal. They must also deposit a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500 at any branch of Habib Bank Limited across Pakistan. Details and guidelines are available on the HEC’s official scholarship page.
