Punjab University and Pink Ribbon Pakistan Partner to Enhance Health Awareness

Lahore: Punjab University’s Center of Excellence in Molecular Biology and the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Trust Hospital have formalized a partnership to advance health initiatives, focusing on cancer awareness and genetic counseling.

According to University of the Punjab, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed at the Vice Chancellor’s office this Friday, with key figures such as PU VC Prof Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Director CEMB Dr. Moazzur Rahman, and CEO of Pink Ribbon Omer Aftab in attendance. The agreement outlines a plan for both institutions to engage in co-marketing and organize joint seminars that will involve clinicians and oncologists. These seminars aim to promote a cost-effective and time-saving diagnostic test.

The collaboration will also include genetic counseling services for patients and their families, addressing a critical need in the region’s healthcare framework. VC Dr. Khalid Mahmood expressed optimism about the MOU’s potential to benefit both the university and the community at large.
