Lahore, July 12, 2023 (PPI-OT): Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam (SAU) Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Jan Muhammad Marri along with faculty members paid visit to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore and called on UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad.
Prof Dr Nasim Ahmed briefed the Dr Jan Muhammad on the UVAS historical importance, academic and research activities, research projects, extension and community services etc. He said UVAS is working closely with livestock, poultry, dairy, meat and food industries and playing its vital role to solve their issues by utilizing its knowledge, research and trained human resource. He mentioned UVAS provided testing services during odd time of Covid-19 pandemic and even in flood 2022 by providing relief services to flood affected livestock farming community in worst flood affected areas of Pakistan.
Dr Jan Muhammad Marri acknowledged the role of UVAS in imparting best knowledge, research and practical experiences to students. He also showed keen interest to build strong linkages with UVAS and SAU for the promotion of veterinary education and research.
