Lahore: A polio vaccination campaign was officially launched at Kahanna Tehsil Hospital, where Vice President of the Central Press Club Kahanna and Union Council Chairman candidate Iftikhar Ali Shakir led the inauguration in the presence of senior health officials.
According to Indus Hospital and Health Network, the September polio campaign, initiated by the health department, aims to vaccinate children in Kahna and surrounding areas. The ceremony was attended by senior figures, including Senior Shakh Communication Officer Mukhtar Ahmed, Communication Block Officer Sufyan Rasheed, and UCMO Shaukat. Local politicians, journalists, and community leaders also pledged their support for the door-to-door vaccination teams. Speaking to the media, Iftikhar Ali Shakir emphasized the need for collective efforts to eliminate polio, stating that the responsibility to create a polio-free environment rests with everyone.
