Karachi, March 27, 2023 (PPI-OT):In response to the alarming increase in Road Traffic Accidents in Sindh, the Training Institute of the Pakistan Red Crescent-Sindh took an initiative to organize a one-day session on first aid orientation for Motorway Police. The session was held at Hilal-e-Ahmer House in Clifton Karachi and was attended by 13 officers, including DSP Muhammad Rashid and two female officers. The session aimed to educate the motorway police officers about the necessary skills and techniques required to handle emergency situations, particularly Road Traffic Accidents. The participants were provided with practical demonstrations for CPR, Choking, recovery position bandages of injuries, and other important first aid skills.
The training session was conducted by experienced instructors from the Pakistan Red Crescent Society including Training Coordinator Dr. Rizwana Wasif who emphasized the importance of timely and efficient response during emergency situations. The participants were also presented with a first aid information banner, a heat prevention banner and participation certificate as a token of appreciation for their attendance and active participation.
The attendees praised the efforts of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society in organizing such a beneficial training session and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of first aid. The head of the training institute of motorway police expressed his appreciation and promised to implement the newly acquired skills and techniques in their daily work routine to ensure the safety and well-being of the citizens.
