Pakistan Karate Federation Launches Nationwide Championship to Scout Talent for South Asian Games

Lahore, In an unprecedented move to bolster national karate talent, the Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) has unveiled plans for the “Al Kabir” All Pakistan Karate Club Championship 2024. This landmark event is set to feature over 300 clubs across the country, aiming to identify and nurture prospective talents for the upcoming South Asian Games.

According to Pakistan Karate Federation, the championship will progress through three competitive phases, starting with inter-club matches at the divisional level. Successful teams will then advance to the provincial phase, where the top two clubs from each province will secure places in the final showdown. This culminates in the grand finale scheduled for May 11 and 12, 2024, at Nishtar Park Gymnasium Hall in Lahore, where clubs will compete for the prestigious title of Champion Club of Pakistan.

The event is set to kick off with an opening ceremony at noon on May 11, 2024, at the Gymnasium Hall, Nishtar Park Gaddafi Stadium. The ceremony will be graced by the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs of Punjab, Faisal Ayub Khokhar, as the chief guest.

This championship not only aims to discover and develop karate talents but also strives to enhance the popularity of karate in Pakistan, setting the stage for the nation’s athletes to shine on international platforms, including the forthcoming South Asian Games.
