New Poetry Book “Yeh Roshni Fareb Hai” Launched at Punjab Arts Council


Rawalpindi: The Punjab Arts Council recently hosted the unveiling of “Yeh Roshni Fareb Hai,” a poetry book by the renowned writer and critic Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Lakha. The ceremony was attended by notable literary figures and drew a significant crowd from the twin cities.



According to Punjab Arts Council, the event was presided over by Dr. Waheed Ahmed, with Professor Dr. Ravish Nadeem serving as the chief guest, and moderated by Azwer Lone. Sajjad Hussain, the Director of the Arts Council, highlighted the significance of the gathering and praised Mr. Lakha’s contributions to Urdu and Punjabi poetry. He noted Lakha’s ability to weave his journalistic experiences into his literary work, focusing on the plights and aspirations of ordinary people rather than traditional themes of beauty.



Dr. Waheed Ahmed reflected on how Lakha’s poems mirror contemporary issues, adding depth to the everyday struggles faced by society’s true custodians. Professor Dr. Ravish Nadeem appreciated Lakha’s consistent alignment with his conscience, which infuses his work with thought-provoking subjects.
