Faisalabad, The National Textile University (NTU) held a guidance session in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on May 13, 2024, focused on the adoption of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and the use of generative AI tools in higher education. The session aimed to explore the practical aspects and implementation strategies of these modern educational technologies.
According to National Textile University, the workshop was led by Mr. Tanveer Ahmed, an HEC consultant, who provided a detailed presentation on the benefits and challenges associated with ODL and the integration of AI tools in academic settings. His discussion covered the critical implications of AI in enhancing educational practices and the necessary steps for successfully integrating these technologies into university curricula.
The event was chaired by the Rector of NTU and attended by deans, senior faculty members, and officials from the IT and Quality Enhancement Cell, highlighting the university’s commitment to leveraging technology for educational advancement.
