Karachi: An annual fundraising event in Karachi has successfully gathered prominent figures from various sectors to aid financially deserving students at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). The event, named ‘Rahbar e Taraki O Kamal,’ was organized by NUST’s University Advancement Office in partnership with the Saturday Welfare Group and took place on January 7, 2025.
According to a statement by National University of Sciences and Technology, the event saw industrialists, philanthropists, and business leaders unite with a collective aim to support 100 students with verified financial needs. The gathering highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering educational opportunities for underprivileged scholars.
Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector for Research, Innovation and Commercialization at NUST, delivered an update on the university’s scholarship ecosystem, underscoring the significant impact donors have on student success. The event also featured key figures like Mr. Danish Aman, Chairman of the Tanners Association, and Ms. Arooba Gillani, Director of Advancement, who encouraged attendees to pledge their support.
