IoBM and AKESP Collaborate to Enhance Student Career Opportunities

KARACHI: The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) and the Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKESP) have entered into a partnership aimed at broadening career awareness and educational prospects for students in high school and college. The agreement, signed by Mr. Talib Karim, President of IoBM, and Mr. Imtiaz Momin, CEO of AKESP, was formalized on May 7, 2025. The collaboration focuses on innovative programs and mentorship initiatives designed to empower students and prepare them for future challenges.

Under the terms of the agreement, IoBM will organize career counseling sessions and campus tours, while providing information on admissions, scholarships, and university events. AKESP will ensure that students have access to these opportunities and will actively promote participation in IoBM’s educational activities.

Mr. Talib Karim, in his address, emphasized the role of schools in developing character and promoting adherence to rules in Pakistan. He advocated for the integration of AI and STEM subjects in school curricula and stressed the importance of skills development in technology. Mr. Karim also mentioned ongoing efforts to advance online and hybrid modes of education, highlighting the potential of Pakistan’s youth.

Mr. Imtiaz Momin, CEO of AKESP, spoke about the need to align educational initiatives with students’ interests and emphasized AKESP’s commitment to collaborating with IoBM in research and academic projects to support student development.

Representatives from IoBM present at the signing included Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas, Dr. Nadia Ayub, Dr. Muhammad Arif, Mr. M. W. Jahangir, Mr. Muhammad Misbahuddin, Mr. Imdad Mugheri, and Mr. Nabhan Karim. AKESP was represented by Mr. Aien Shah and Dr. Hina Velji.
