ICC Releases Media Rights Invitation for Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka

Karachi, The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to release its Invitation To Tender (ITT) for media rights within Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, covering the years 2024 to 2025. This move comes on the heels of successfully securing media rights agreements in key markets around the globe, including India, the United Kingdom and Ireland, the USA and Canada, Sub-Saharan Africa, Australia, and the Middle East and North Africa.

According to International Cricket Council, the release of the ITT marks the beginning of the process to establish media rights partnerships in these three significant South Asian territories. The ICC aims to expand its broadcast reach, enhancing the visibility and accessibility of cricket to fans worldwide. In Pakistan, there are two distinct packages available that cover both television and digital rights for men’s and women’s cricket events. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka each have one combined TV and digital package on offer. These packages encompass rights to three women’s events and three men’s events, concluding at the end of next year.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We are delighted to be releasing the ITT for media rights in three of cricket’s major broadcast markets in South Asia, namely Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, as we continue to build our team of broadcast partners who will take ICC events to more fans across the world.” The ITT documents are accessible to interested parties upon request via email to iccmediarights2024-2031@icc-cricket.com. The ICC has announced plans to release subsequent ITTs for additional markets in the near future, aiming to broaden its network of broadcast partners and further promote the global reach of cricket.
