Turbat: In a significant move aimed at enhancing student welfare and youth development, the University of Turbat (UoT) has entered into an agreement with Helping Hands for Relief and Development (HHRD) to provide vital resources to the institution. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of university and HHRD officials, promising to deliver an RO plant and furniture for the university’s classrooms and hostels.
According to a statement by University of Turbat, the MoU was signed by Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Kakar, Regional Manager Balochistan for HHRD, and Mr. Ganuguzar Baloch, Registrar for UoT. The ceremony took place in the Vice Chancellor’s chamber at UoT on February 10, 2025.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, highlighted the importance of the agreement. He noted that it would open new avenues for UoT students, providing them with essential resources and skill development opportunities. He emphasized the potential of the partnership to boost volunteerism and tackle social challenges, including climate change awareness and community development.
Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Kakar assured that HHRD would promptly fulfill its commitment to donate necessary equipment, enhancing the academic environment for students at UoT.
The agreement aims to foster a collaborative framework between HHRD and UoT, emphasizing youth engagement and student support programs. The partnership seeks to involve students in various national and international events, including volunteer programs, seminars, and workshops.
Additionally, HHRD plans to offer internships to UoT students, acknowledging their contributions and providing valuable learning experiences. The collaboration also outlines financial support for climate change events and other youth-oriented activities.
