Female Faculty’s Influence Grows at Turbat University, Says Vice-Chancellor

Turbat: The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, on International Women’s Day, praised the significant contributions of female faculty members and students to the university’s progress. He stressed the essential role of women in society’s development, highlighting that their participation is crucial for educational, political, economic, and social advancement.

According to University of Turbat, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the university’s commitment to gender equality and empowerment, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for female faculty and students. He noted ongoing initiatives to enhance their academic and professional growth. Dr. Hasan expressed pride in the recent achievements of two female faculty members who have completed their PhDs, showcasing the increasing presence and success of women in research and academia.

Dr. Hasan reaffirmed the university’s dedication to fostering a culture of education, book reading, and research. He highlighted the importance of equipping female faculty and students with modern technology and digital skills to address contemporary challenges.

He noted that over 40% of the students at the University of Turbat are female, benefiting equally from the educational facilities. Both male and female graduates excel in competitive exams conducted by the Public Service Commission and other national and provincial exams.

Dr. Hasan commended the ongoing efforts of the university’s faculty and administration in maintaining quality education amid financial and other challenges.

Looking ahead, he announced plans to strengthen the Directorate of Student Affairs, ensuring equal opportunities for male and female students to participate in various activities at the national level by the academic year 2025, providing a platform to showcase their talents.
