Federal Minister Approves New Projects at UET Lahore

Lahore: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal visited the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, where he reviewed ongoing construction projects and approved several new initiatives. He was welcomed by Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir and other officials during the visit.

The Federal Minister inspected development work at UET’s hostels, academic buildings, and infrastructure in its main and sub-campuses. He announced plans to enhance UET into a leading research center, complete with centers of excellence and advanced laboratories, to ensure its graduates excel globally.

Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the significance of engineering education and the essential role engineers play in national development. Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir expressed optimism about a potential increase in the university’s budget, which would help in executing future projects.

Other key participants included Campus Coordinator Dr. Shehbaz and PRO Dr. Tanveer Qasim, while several officials joined the meeting via video link. Dr. Shahid Munir concluded by thanking the Federal Minister for his visit and continued support.
