Bahawalpur, June 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP), organized a Faculty Training Workshop at Vice Chancellor Secretariat, Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Department of Architecture, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur specially invited AR Sikander Ajam for Faculty Training Workshop. AR Sikander Ajam discussed the topics of architecture pedagogy, history, mission and vision, studio policy and holistic view.
Consultant AR Sikander Ajam trained the faculty for the upcoming fall session 2023 of the first year of the BArch program, highlighted the history of architecture schools, and delivered a short lecture on the studio culture policies of national and international architecture schools. He presented the studio classification policy and interacted with the design and architecture faculty.
He appreciated the establishment of architecture department in the university according to the vision of Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, Faculty of Department of Architecture AR Ayaz Mehmood, AR Zeeshan Ahmed, AR Ahmed Faraz, AR Nida Rehman, AR Waqas Munir, Faculty of University College of Arts and Design Maria Ansari, Farjad Faiz, Soman Sanwal, Rabil Qureshi, Aoon Muhammad, Senior Practicing Architect AR Muhammad Iftikhar Khan and Deputy Director C and W AR Samrana Waqar also participated in the workshop.
