Karachi: In a groundbreaking medical achievement, Dow University Hospital’s Department of General Surgery Unit II announced the successful completion of the first-ever Laparoscopic Whipple’s resection. This advanced procedure was performed at the Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences (DIKIOHS) operating theater complex.

According to Dow University of Health Sciences, the procedure was conducted under the expert supervision of master trainer Prof. Zarin Khan. This landmark achievement not only marks a significant advancement in the university’s surgical capabilities but also sets a new standard for minimally invasive surgery techniques in the region.
