Commissioner of Sargodha Visits University, Praises Solar Energy Initiatives

Sargodha: Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan recently toured the University of Sargodha, discussing key educational and infrastructural initiatives with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas.

According to University of Sargodha, the visit included detailed discussions on the university’s transition to solar energy and its positive impact on sustainability. Prof. Dr. Abbas briefed the Commissioner on the university’s commitment to providing quality education to a large student body, which includes over 24,000 students on-campus and more than 50,000 when counting those in affiliated colleges. The discussions also covered the university’s focus on aligning education with market demands, the promotion of student business ideas through the Waheed Wain Incubation Center, and the institution’s recognition by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Commissioner Awan expressed admiration for the university’s achievements and pledged continued support for its educational and developmental goals. He commended the university for its role in nurturing the region’s youth and fostering academic discipline. The meeting concluded with Vice-Chancellor Abbas presenting a commemorative shield to Commissioner Awan.
