Lahore: The International Office at the University of Central Punjab (UCP), alongside Mr. Sahir Mushtaq, Team Lead of Foreign Languages, successfully organized a two-day Chinese Language and Culture Workshop. This event, held in collaboration with Tang International, was focused on promoting knowledge of the Chinese language and culture. It emphasized the substantial resources and job opportunities associated with Mandarin, one of the most widely spoken languages globally.
According to University of Central Punjab (UCP), the workshop drew students who are actively learning Chinese as part of their curriculum. These students participated eagerly to enhance their understanding of both the language and the accompanying cultural nuances. The workshop featured interactive sessions where Chinese tutors engaged students in a virtual environment, facilitating an immersive learning experience.
In addition to language instruction, the session provided guidance on the upcoming Chinese Cultural Camp, which UCP plans to organize. This camp will offer students a chance to experience Chinese culture directly through a visit to China, enriching their educational journey with real-world exposure.
The event concluded with students expressing gratitude to the organizers for an informative and engaging session. Many attendees reported that the workshop had significantly boosted their confidence and motivation to continue their Chinese language studies at UCP.
UCP’s dedication to supporting students’ linguistic education in Chinese is evident through initiatives like this workshop, which aim to foster global competencies among its students.
