Karachi, May 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed his anger over the delay in the activation of institutions after the local elections in Sindh and has strongly demanded the Election Commission to take the oath of the elected representatives. The schedule should be released without delay. He said that as many rhetoric’s and letters as possible have been done in this regard, now PPP knows how to protest and take away its rights. The PPP Chairman announced his priorities and plan of action regarding the empowerment of all the local bodies of the province and public issues and said that the difficult test for the Jiyalas is starting now.
In his address, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also gave a message to all the institutions and said that all the institutions should work within their own scope, this time they will not tolerate any kind of injustice and not the traditional opposition after that.
Addressing the public meeting at the end of the rally organized to celebrate the historic success of the Pakistan People’s Party in the recent local elections across Sindh, including Karachi, the PPP Chairman said that from Karachi to Kashmore, there will be a government of Jiyalas. And thus, the difficult test of Jialal has also started. He said that the hard work of the Jiyalas and the people have put an end to the politics of hatred and division in Sindh for decades. He further said that I am giving a message to the people of all Pakistan that we have ended the politics of hatred and division in Sindh, now we will bury this kind of politics across Pakistan.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced the priorities of his party regarding the local bodies and said that improving the public health system will be the first priority. Hospitals under local bodies will be made NICVD standard hospitals. The second priority will be the education sector. Educational institutions neglected by the local bodies will be run by NGOs and other institutions under Public Private Partnership. Transport and solid waste management will be improved in collaboration with local bodies.
The third priority will be poverty alleviation programmes, and in this regard the ongoing program of SRSO will be extended to every Union Council. The fourth priority would include providing residential plot ownership rights to flood victims and slum dwellers. The Provincial Local Government Minister shall be bound to take action as per the will of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor or Chairman. Property tax collection.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan People’s Party is not afraid of elections, they are ready for elections. We also know how to contest and win elections. We have shown only Taylor in Karachi, just as Karachi has protected PTI, we will rid these political terrorists from the entire country. Addressing the workers, the PPP Chairman said that he had seen the martyrdoms of his leader Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto, but he never attacked GHQ or set fire to Jinnah House. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan People’s Party does not believe in revenge politics. Referring to the historic public meeting in Lahore on the occasion of the return of martyr Ms. Benazir Bhutto during the reign of Amir Zia, he said that according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the said meeting was the largest in history, but Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto. did not incite the participants of the rally to avenge the martyrdom of the leader of the people. He further said that there was a lot of anger among the Jiyalas and the people on the martyrdom of Ms. Benazir Bhutto. Criticizing Imran Khan, the PPP Chairman said that nothing has happened to these political terrorists, and their facilitators are also present in every corner, but he does not leave the house without a bucket on his head. Talking about his recent visit to India, the Foreign Minister said that he sat on the soil of India and put the case of Pakistan before the Indian people. He said that when there is a cricket match between Pakistan and India, our people pray for the success of their country, but when there was a match between the two countries on the foreign front, PTI members prayed for the success of India. were demanding, and his and BJP’s position was also the same. He said that when I go out of the country, I speak as a representative of Pakistan and defended Imran Khan’s visit to Russia during his first US visit.
Speaking in the context of the current situation of the country, the PPP Chairman said that the Judiciary in the era of dictatorship is fast and becomes excessively political in the era of democracy. He said that the judiciary was involved in the judicial killing of the leader of the people, while the government of martyr Ms. Benazir Bhutto was terminated on the basis of a newspaper article. He said that General Faiz Hameed did not rig the 2018 election alone, even then the judiciary had become excessively politicized. “Enough is enough now, we will not allow the judiciary or the establishment to be rigged,” he added.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PDM has announced solidarity with the constitution next week, we are going to remind the Supreme Court that their work is not to interfere in politics. The way Imran Khan is being pampered is a joke with the constitution and the people. He said that the judiciary and the establishment cannot become a tiger force. He said that if we announce that we will celebrate next April 4 and December 27 in Room Number One of the Supreme Court, how will they feel? Our message is that institutions should work within their scope. Be fair, don’t be a politician.
The foreign minister strongly opposed India’s holding of the G-20 meeting in Srinagar, saying that this move means that India does not follow any international law, but whatever New Delhi does, it will affect the future of the occupied valley. Only Kashmiris will decide.
