Karachi, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has conveyed a message of hope and unity in his Easter greetings to the Christian community worldwide and particularly in Pakistan. According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the PPP Chairman elaborated on the profound implications of Easter’s message, highlighting its relevance beyond the spiritual domain and into the realm of political and communal coexistence. He acknowledged the Christian community’s contributions to Pakistan, especially in education and healthcare sectors, and commended their patriotism and integral role in national development.
Under the influence of PPP’s foundational leaders and the principles of the 1973 Constitution, Chairman Zardari reaffirmed his party’s commitment to inclusivity and equality, citing the election of a Christian as the Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly and a young Christian woman as an MPA as exemplars of the party’s dedication to diversity and partnership.
Zardari also reflected on Pakistan’s historical mosaic of diverse cultures, beliefs, and traditions, living in harmony for centuries. He expressed hope that Easter would herald a new chapter of prosperity and mutual understanding for all citizens, reinforcing his dedication to unity and peace in the nation’s fabric.
