Islamabad: The Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) held its 10th meeting for the year 2024 on Thursday. Presided over by the university’s president, Professor Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, the meeting confirmed the minutes of previous sessions and was attended by deans, directors, and other officials.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the board reviewed and analyzed 24 PhD synopses from multiple faculties, including Usuluddin, Social Sciences, Sciences, Arabic, and the International Institute of Islamic Economics. The board also approved local and international experts for the faculties of Management Sciences, Engineering and Technology, and Languages and Literature.
Professor Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed highlighted the importance of maintaining research standards and addressing time-barred cases. He stressed adherence to institutional policies and academic integrity, reiterating the university’s dedication to promoting research excellence and aligning with international benchmarks.
