Islamabad, Bahria University Islamabad Campus (BUIC) has initiated a bidding process for the procurement of 100 refurbished branded desktop PCs. The university is looking for high-specification machines to enhance its technological resources.
According to Bahria University, the sealed bid invitation specifies requirements for desktops with Intel Core i5 9th or 10th generation processors, 16 GB of RAM, and other advanced features. The bidding process, which adheres to the Single Stage – Two Envelope procedure as per PPRA Rules 2004, will accept submissions until June 28, 2024, with the technical bids scheduled to be opened on the same day.
The university has set detailed specifications for the desktop PCs, including a 512 GB SSD, a 20-inch or larger LED display, and comprehensive connectivity options such as USB and HDMI ports. Each unit must come with a six-month comprehensive warranty and be capable of future upgrades. The bidding documents, which outline all specifications and terms, are available for purchase from the university’s procurement office.
Potential suppliers are required to provide a bid security amounting to 3% of the total bid value and ensure that their proposals include all costs, such as taxes, transportation, and installation. Bahria University reserves the right to reject any or all bids at any stage of the procurement process by invoking Rule 33 of PPRA-2004.
