Gwadar, September 22, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, recently conducted a 5-day Basic Critical Care Certification Course at Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Hospital in Gwadar. This hospital is managed through a public-private partnership between Indus Hospital and Health Network and the Government of Balochistan.
The primary goal of this certification course was to equip the nursing staff with the essential knowledge and skills required for handling emergencies and providing intensive care to patients. Topics covered during the course included ECG interpretation, ABG interpretation, and electrolyte imbalance procedures. Additionally, the nursing staff received detailed training on operating various equipment such as monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and crash carts.
The team of expert trainers from the Korangi Campus included Mr. Salman Alam, Instructor of nursing, and Mr. Sajid Ali Chana, Head Nurse, who provided training to the nursing staff. Dr. Aftab Ahmed, Head of Campus, GDA Hospital; Miss Rashida Merchant, Director, Nursing Services; Miss Rozeena Shahzad Ramji, Senior Manager, Nursing; and Miss Saima Ali Shah, Deputy Manager, Nursing, GDA Hospital, provided valuable guidance and support to ensure the success of the course.
