Karachi, August 29, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Clinical Research Committee of Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing its inaugural “1st Essential Research and Biostatistics” workshop on August 26, 2023. This comprehensive event aimed to empower healthcare professionals with essential knowledge in the fields of Clinical Research and Biostatistics.

Led by Prof. Dr. Salman Imtiaz, Head of Department, Nephrology and Dr. Aiesha Ishaque, the workshop proved to be an invaluable learning opportunity. Distinguished experts including Dr. Ammad Fahim, Director Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, Dr. Beena Salman from The Kidney Center, Dr. Sama Mukhtar, Consultant Emergency Medicine IHHN, and Dr. Farrukh Koraishy from Stony Brook University, NY delivered comprehensive talks, covering various facets of clinical research. Noteworthy attendees included Dr. Mujtaba Quadri and Dr. Waqar Kazmi from the Pakistan Society of Nephrology.

Gathering a diverse audience, the workshop saw over 100 participants joining both on-site and online from across Pakistan. The event provided a platform for attendees to engage with experts, fostering knowledge exchange and skill development.

The workshop culminated with a certificate distribution ceremony, where certificates were conferred to participants by Dr. Ashar Alam, the Medical Director of IHHN. This event stands as a testament to IHHN’s commitment to advancing medical research and education, and to its vision of enhancing healthcare standards across Pakistan.
