Islamabad, August 25, 2023 (PPI-OT): Islamic Relief organized an event titled ‘Climate Resilient Pakistan- Rhetoric to Reality’ to set bold ambitions and find viable solutions through a climate dialogue involving all the major stakeholders on 3rd August 2023. August 2023 marked as a ‘One Year On’ since the floods 2022. Islamic Relief presented the activities carried out during the rehabilitation of flood affectees. Different diplomats exchanged their views during the event.

The event provided an opportunity to academia, civil society, diplomats, media, public representatives and state institutions to exchange critical perspectives on climate induced catastrophes like floods 2022 and our collective responsibility, particularly of global north. Dr. Ahsan Iqbal, the Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives for the Government of Pakistan was the chief guest of the event. Dr. Toqeer Ahmed, Tenured Associate Professor, CCRD, CUI participated and represented CUI in the event.
