Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari says that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under his leadership took steps to improve bilateral relations with Western countries, which will have far-reaching effects

Karachi, August 23, 2023 (PPI-OT): Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under his leadership has taken steps to improve bilateral relations with Western countries, which will have far-reaching effects. He further said that the removal of Pakistan’s name from FATF’s gray list has also increased business opportunities.

A dinner was hosted in honor of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari by President of Honorary Consular Corps Sindh Karachi Mirza Ikhtiar Baig. Diplomats, senators, ex-ministers, members of the business community attended the dinner in recognition of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s services as Foreign Minister. Diplomats belonging USA, UK, China, Russia, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Oman, Bahrain, Iran, Qatar and Thailand were also present at the event.

Addressing the event, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that great efforts have been made to revive the IMF program with positive results and hopefully entrepreneurs will continue to get great opportunities due to GSP Plus agreement from EU,” he said.

He appreciated the role of diplomats posted in Karachi for the improvement of bilateral relations and assured them of his full cooperation in this regard. He also assured the businessmen of Karachi of his full support. Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Syed Naveed Qamar, Nasir Hussain Shah, Sharjeel Inam Memon and Senator Waqar Mehdi were also present at the dinner, while Arif Habib, Ali Akai, Ijaz Nisar, Kokab Iqbal, Jahangir Shah, Zubair Chhaya, Atif Hanif, Zeeshan Saleem Zaki and Farhan Hanif were also present.
