A delegation of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by President Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan, met with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar in his office. Former Presidents Chaudhry Javed Iqbal, Malik Ijaz Nazim, Senior Vice President Hanif Ahmed, Secretary Abeer Haider, Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil and other senior officers were present on this occasion. The Vice Chancellor said that Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have been promoting academia and industry linkages for years. This cooperation and communication will be further strengthened.

In this regard, the arrival of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry delegation to the university is welcome. President Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the most reliable institution of higher education in Bahawalpur region.

The thousands of teachers, employees and students in the university are an important part of the social and economic development of Bahawalpur. Unfortunately, the recent events and the baseless propaganda on social media are not good for educational development. However, steps will be taken for the betterment of the university in collaboration with the university community. On this occasion, matters such as the ongoing admission campaign, curricular and co-curricular activities and the university’s relation and links with industrial and commercial institutions were also discussed.
