Bahawalpur, July 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and three clinical labs and diagnostic centers for the practical training of BS Medical Laboratory Technology students. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ayub Khan CEO Ayub Lab and Diagnostic Center, Dr. Uzma Chauhan CEO Hamdard Blood Bank and Transfusion Services and Fayyaz Ahmed CEO Adam Lab and Diagnostic Centre signed the MoU.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Chairman Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan, Director of Office of Faculty Industrial Engagement, other faculty members, directors and senior officers were present. This MoU aims to nurture a strong alliance between academia and industry, promoting research in healthcare, improving quality of education, and providing practical orientation and training opportunities to the students of BS MLT. This partnership is a step forward towards advancing scientific knowledge and practical applications in the field of medical sciences.
