Islamabad, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Pakistan People’s Party has demanded the implementation of the constitution by summoning Imran Khan to the Parliamentary Commission on the foreign conspiracy narrative and now his resignation. Imran Khan has painted the mark of a person unfamiliar with “patriotism” on his forehead. Secretary General People’s Party Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari has said in an interview to a foreign newspaper that the National Security Committee has rejected Imran Khan’s fake and false narrative. What was the People’s Party termed the Cipher narrative as a dangerous conspiracy against the country, they have said that they have exposed their “dirty character” who is raising the false flag of a heinous conspiracy against the national security institutions.

I have admitted to lying and the conspiratorial mentality of Imran Khan has been revealed by announcing his withdrawal from the foreign conspiracy narrative. Nayyar Bukhari has said that the national political and democratic leadership with visionary ability wisely foiled the conspiracy of Imran Niazi, who put the national interest at stake, to inflict a deep wound similar to anti-nationalism. Pakistan People’s Party Foundation Day celebrations will be held on November 30 in all provincial, divisional and district headquarters of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan: Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari 

Islamabad, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The establishment day celebrations of Pakistan People’s Party will be held on November 30 across the country including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, all provincial, divisional, according to the statement issued by Secretary General People’s Party Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari, this decision has been taken with the permission of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. All provincial presidents including Gilgit-Baltistan Azad Kashmir have participated and ratified the decision.

Secretary General People’s Party Syed Nair Hussain Bukhari has said in his statement that the establishment day of the People’s Party of Pakistan People’s Party on November 30 will be filled with enthusiasm across the country. Events organized by organizations will be organized in the provincial divisional district headquarters of the People’s Party. The Sindh Human Rights Department has decided to consult the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and other civil society stakeholders before approving the draft human rights policy by the provincial cabinet 

Karachi, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Human Rights Department of Sindh has decided to consult with the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) and other civil society stakeholders before approving the provincial cabinet. The decision was taken at a consultative meeting on the draft human rights policy, chaired by Sindh Chief Minister’s Special Assistant on Human Rights Surendra Valasai. Sindh Minister of Labor and Human Resources Saeed Ghani, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh Bangal Khan Mehr and representatives of other departments also participated in the meeting. Sindh Human Rights Department has drafted the said policy with the cooperation of UNDP and several human rights activists.

Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Sindh’s Special Assistant on Human Rights, Surinder Vilasai, said that his party chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is deeply interested in human rights policy, whose top priorities are the protection of human rights and Promotion included. He said that the draft Sindh Human Rights Policy is sustainable under the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (Articles 8 to 28), UN human rights treaties ratified by Pakistan, and international obligations.

Focuses on the promotion, protection and fulfillment of human rights in line with the Development Goals (2015-2030) and the Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP-Plus) (2014-2023). The Secretary of Human Rights Department Noreen Bashir told the meeting that the focus of this policy is to promote, protect and implement the civil and political rights and economic socio-cultural rights of women, children, minorities, senior citizens, disabled persons, transgender, juvenile prisoners. Also focused on He further said that the purpose of this policy is also to create awareness about human rights.

Participating in the meeting, Minister of Labour and Human Resources of Sindh Saeed Ghani suggested that by presenting the draft of the policy before the provincial cabinet. It should first be circulated to relevant stakeholders, including government departments, civil society organizations and stakeholders, for review and feedback to make it more inclusive and participatory.

On which the participants of the meeting unanimously supported the proposal of the Provincial Minister of Labour and Human Resources. Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister for Wildlife and Inquiries and Anti-Corruption Bangal Khan Mehr, who was present in the meeting, suggested that the draft policy should be sent to the secretaries and ministers of all provincial departments to get their opinions.

Addressing the meeting, Surendra Vilasai further said that human rights is a complex phenomenon with various cross-cutting themes and issues, hence the efforts of all relevant government departments and institutions for the promotion and protection of human rights should be coordinated.

A comprehensive policy framework is needed to do this. He said that the purpose of implementing this policy Government of Sindh has to assign the responsibility to mobilize all the concerned departments for the measures in future. He said that the draft policy will be sent to all stakeholders, including those working on the rights and issues of women, children, minorities, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, transgenders, juvenile and adult prisoners, etc.

Sindh decides to take HRCP and other stakeholders onboard before approval of Human Rights Policy

Karachi, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Sindh Human Rights Department has decided to take Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) and other civil society stakeholders onboard for its draft Human Rights Policy before final approval by the Sindh Cabinet. The decision was taken at a consultative meeting on Draft Human Rights Policy Government of Sindh presided over by Surendar Valasai, Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Human Rights and attended among others by Saeed Ghani Minister for Labour and Human Resource, Bangul Khan Mahar Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Wildlife, and representatives of other departments at Human Rights Secretariat today.

The draft policy is developed by Human Rights Department with inputs from UNDP and several human rights activists. At the outset, Surendar Valasai said that his Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is taking keen interest in the Human Rights Policy as protection and promotion of Human Rights are among his top priorities.

He provided a background to the Policy and shared that draft Sindh Human Rights Policy focuses on the promotion, protection and fulfillment of human rights in compliance with the Fundamental Rights (Article 8 to 28) enshrined in the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, core United Nations (UN) human rights treaties ratified by Pakistan and other international obligations under Sustainable Development Goals (2015-2030) and Generalized Scheme of Preference (GSP-Plus) (2014-2023).

Noreen Bashir, the Secretary Human Rights Department added that the Policy also focuses on the promotion, protection and fullfiment of Civil and Political Rights and Economic Social and Cultural Rights of various groups such as women, children, minorities, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, transgender persons, workers, juveniles, prisoners and so on. Also, it aims at building awareness on human rights.

Saeed Ghani, Minister for Labour and Human Resources advised to circulate the draft policy with concerned stakeholders including government departments, civil society organizations and individuals for the review and input to make the draft policy more inclusive and participatory before placing it before the Provincial Cabinet. The participants of the meeting unanimously endorsed his advice.

Bangul Khan Mahar, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Wildlife and Enquiries and Anti-Corruption advised to share the draft policy with administrative secretaries of the departments and Ministers for their feedback. Surendar Valasai added that since Human Rights are a complex phenomenon with varied cross cutting themes and issues, which necessitated the need for a comprehensive Policy framework for synergizing the efforts of all concerned government departments and institutions to promote and protect human rights. Therefore, the implementation of this Policy aims to task the Government of Sindh to utilize all relevant departments for future actions.

While concluding Surendar Valasai assured them that the draft policy shall be circulated among the all stakeholders including those working on the rights and issues of women, children, minorities, and senior citizens, persons with disabilities, transgender persons, workers, juveniles, and prisoners etc.

ICC thanks Cricket Australia for successful hosting of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 

Dubai, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The International Cricket Council has thanked hosts Cricket Australia for the successful hosting of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. It has been one of the most competitive Men’s T20 World Cups ever and saw England win the ultimate prize in T20 cricket for the second time, after defeating Pakistan in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The event was delivered across seven host cities Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney with 16 teams battling it out to be crowned T20 World Cup champions.

ICC Chair Greg Barclay said: “We are delighted with the delivery of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. It was a fast-paced and high energy event, with entertaining and competitive cricket on show.
