The Ivy School and Indus Tarbiyat Celebrate World Children’s Day 2022

Karachi, November 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):In celebration of World Children’s Day 2022, students of The Ivy School made inspiring contributions for the Pediatric patients at Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN), Korangi Campus. As part of Learning Challenges Around the World Module, Grade 3 students were made aware of the challenges and were encouraged to brainstorm a proposal to help the affectees (particularly children being treated at Indus Hospital). Based on their learning, the students envisioned to help the pediatric patients by providing them with a mini-library of books that children could enjoy during their stay at the Hospital.

The students fundraised to design, construct and populate the library with a diverse collection of around 70 books in English and Urdu language. In addition to this the school also ran the Indus Tarbiyat campaign across all classes (from Kindergarten to Grade 5). Through this campaign, the students were encouraged to perform fundraising activities at home to fundraise for the pediatric patients at Indus Hospital.

“I hosted a Juice Bar at my home and invited my all my family and cousins to visit the stall to buy lemonade from it”, said Sara excitedly. “I started a dinosaur business with my older brother and we have sold a lot of dinosaurs to our friends and cousins. We told them that we are donating this collection to help the children at Indus Hospital”, said Zayn student of Grade of 2.

IHHN is proud to have Ivy School as the Indus Tarbiyat partner to inculcate the habit of saving and sharing blessings with the less fortunate members of our community, amongst their students. The school plans to continue the Box of Kindness drive on regular basis to support IHHN to continue to serve the children suffering from various diseases and health issues with quality medical care absolutely free.

CM Chaudhry Parvez Elahi pays a surprise visit to Government Mian Mir Hospital

Lahore, November 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi paid a surprise visit to Government Mian Mir Hospital without any protocol. The hospital administration was unaware of the visit and MS reached after the arrival of the CM. The CM visited various wards to review the facilities being provided to the patients. He checked the sanitation arrangements and directed to further improve the cleanliness. The CM checked the attendance of doctors, and paramedics, and inspected the beds meant for patients on ventilators.

Chief Minister Parvez Elahi stated that the government was providing free medicine to every patient who comes into an emergency. The supply of free medicine to patients should continue in Govt. Mian Mir Hospital too; he added and observed that due to the rush of patients, it is necessary to add more beds to this hospital. PBA delegation calls on CM Chaudhry Parvez Elahi

Lahore, November 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):A delegation of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA), comprising chairman Shakeel Masood Hussain, secretary general Mian Amir Mahmood, Naz Afrin Sehgal and chairman Nai Baat Media Network Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, called on the Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at his office on Monday.

The CM asserted that they are siding with the chairman of the PTI, Imran Khan and the Punjab assembly would be dissolved when Imran Khan wants. We are always ready to dissolve the assembly on the instructions of Imran Khan; he repeated and pointed out that they enjoy a majority in the assembly. The number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Muslim League-Q members in the Punjab assembly is 191. The opposition is in the minority and will remain in the minority, he added. He said that the opposition can only raise slogans, it is not their job to bring a no-confidence motion.

They can bring the no-confidence motion, which they like. If the assembly is in session, there can be no voting on the no-confidence motion and no vote of confidence. If the assembly is in session, the governor’s rule cannot be imposed; he explained and asserted that every job was being done within the scope of the constitution and law.

Meanwhile, the federal government has made the economy worse. People are cursing the PDM-led government as Shehbaz Sharif can only beg, and he could beseech well. Even the householders close their doors when a beggar comes to the door to beg repeatedly. Shehbaz Sharif did not give a single penny to the flood victims of Punjab; the CM regretted this and pointed out that the provincial government has done the resettlement of the flood victims with its resources.

The chief minister assured that the Punjab government would ensure immediate payment of the pending bills of the PBA. He also expressed good wishes for the newly elected PBA chairman and office-bearers. It is hoped that the new body will use all its capabilities for developing the media industry, he concluded. Provincial Information Secretary Asif Bilal Lodhi, former principal secretary GM Sikandar, Press Secretary to the CM Iqbal Chaudhary and DGPR Afraz Ahmed were also present.
