Haripur: The University of Haripur’s Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) convened its 50th meeting on May 11, 2026, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellors Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman. The meeting focused on key elements of the Graduate Academic Programs, including the approval of research synopses, extensions for additional semesters for MPhil and PhD students, and the designation of examiners for thesis evaluations.
According to The University of Haripur, the ASRB meeting saw the presentation of 175 MPhil and PhD synopses. Under Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman’s leadership, the board has approved a total of 1,503 research synopses across 27 meetings, with the breakdown including 1,319 MPhil/MS and 183 PhD synopses. This achievement underscores a commitment to fostering a robust research environment and enhancing academic standards at the university.
The board also decided to award letters of appreciation to outgoing members for their contributions to academic and research advancement. Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman lauded the efforts of key academic figures, including Prof. Dr. Fida Younus Khattak, Prof. Dr. Shahid Niaz Khan, and Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Zeb Khattak, for their support in ASRB’s initiatives.
